Work with a piece of late-era German colour science. This is an original 27-exposure roll of Agfa Professional 200, expired in December 2007.

Engineered for editorial, portrait, and commercial photographers before Agfa’s original Leverkusen production ceased, the Professional line was formulated for neutral skin tones, refined colour fidelity, and a tighter, more controlled grain structure than consumer Agfacolor Vista. Having rested in dark storage for nearly two decades, this roll offers a fascinating blend of professional-grade emulsion stability and authentic, aged character: slightly softened highlight contrast, distinctive textured grain, and nostalgic colour shifts leaning into warm earthy hues, muted cyans, or subtle pastel shadows.

The Highlights

  • Professional-Grade German Emulsion: Built to higher manufacturing tolerances than standard consumer drugstore stocks, retaining cleaner shadow separation and finer structural acutance despite nearly 20 years of aging.

  • Warm, Earthy Agfa Palette: Legendary for its distinct rendering of reds, ambers, and foliage greens, offering a noticeably warmer, more organic signature than Japanese or American equivalents.

  • Resilient Medium-Speed Stability: Rated at ISO 200, this emulsion accumulates far less background radiation fog over long storage periods than 400 or 800-speed films, ensuring viable, punchy density across the frames.

  • Bonus 27-Exposure Length: Provides three extra frames compared to standard 24-exposure rolls, giving you room to bracket exposures, test meter settings, and settle into a dedicated shoot.

  • Standard Lab Processing (C-41): Coated on a standard colour negative base with no remjet layers or unusual chemical steps. Process it at any local high-street lab or at home with regular C-41 chemistry.
